Position Description
The Supervisor Sanitation is responsible for providing the customer with the highest quality product in an efficient and cost effective manner. The Supervisor Sanitation is responsible for following cleaning and sanitation requirements for the warehouse.
Shift: 3rd shift, Sun-Thurs, 9pm-6am
Essential Functions
- Responsible for complying with food safety, food security, Quality, GMP’s, HAACP, Allergen, and Sensitizer as well as other regulations as required.
- Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards.
- Directs Employees in sanitary and pest-control procedures. Directs cleaning of equipment and work areas.
- Inspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions.
- Confers with management and Sanitation Employees on sanitation problems, and recommends changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, ventilation, or work practices to improve sanitation standards and purity of product.
- Compiles required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety rules and regulations.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Confers with team leads to determine progress of work and to provide methods to improve efficiencies.
- Must possess a positive attitude and demonstrate the ability to work, motivate and communicate well with all employees.
- Ensure that all Refresco’s policies and procedures are followed and maintained fairly and consistently and are communicated to all employees in a consistent manner (Good Manufacturing Practices, Housekeeping, Safety, Work Rules and Company Policies).
- Responsible for disciplinary actions with input from Team Leads and approval from the Manager and/or Human Resources.
- Assist in writing and administering performance evaluations for all employees in perspective areas.
- Responsible for maintaining general housekeeping, and the cleanliness and organization of your work area.
- Responsible for communicating any problematic situations that may arise to management in a timely manner.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree and/or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment, or a two-year certificate from college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a high-speed manufacturing facility.
Position-specific skills:
- Ability to operate machinery and must possess the mechanical ability.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Must have a high level of personal drive to succeed and possess strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
Physical Demands:
- Physical-Continuously standing or walking. Regular requirements to lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight.
- Visual/Sensory-This position requires regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time.
- Work environment- Work and environment are very repetitive.
- Mental Stress- There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.
