Tides of Mind Counseling realizes that the strength of our practice is our exceptional staff. We're looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to support the providers and help with office management. We are looking for someone friendly, builds excellent rapport with clients, is organized, can multi-task, and has experience in a medical/counseling setting. This is a Full-Time, On-Site, position at our Southington, CT location.
This Patient Care Coordinator role is needed to take client phone calls, walk clients through using the portal, check insurance eligibility, manage mail, and navigate minor billing issues.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Compensation: The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, licensure/certifications, etc.

Our licensed therapists will also travel to your home to serve you. In addition, we provide online counseling services to some clients who have trouble accessing an office.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or higher
- Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of professional administrative procedures
- Strong computer and technology skills are required
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with patients and staff to address concerns
- Help patients succeed with accessing the patient portal, resetting passwords, and facilitating access via in-person or remote support
- Finalize registration for new patients and confirm receipt of new patient paperwork, including verification of receipt of Consent to Treat documents
- Scan driver’s license and insurance cards into patient chart
- Obtain patient credit card and credit card authorization to maintain card on file
- Verify and collect patient payment due at the time of service Collect outstanding patient balances as applicable
- Update patient insurance information as needed in the patient chart
- Perform verification of patient benefits for updated patient insurance
- Confirm insurance eligibility for upcoming patient appointments
- Assist in resolving patient insurance eligibility issues
- Update and/or schedule patient appointments with providers as needed
- Answer phones for non-intake related calls, respond to patient questions, and triage incoming requests to appropriate departments
- Triage incoming faxes Scan/upload documents to patient charts
- Manage patient records requests Ensures all patient records requests are up to date (annual renewals)
- Make deposits for cash or check payments
- The position will involve support for TOMC / CPC and may include Refresh New England clients and staff
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Clinical Director
