Route Driver Specialist

General Purpose of the Job:
Your job is to drive assigned routes to deliver products to customers, load and unload product and help the Delivery Supervisor by filling in for drivers when they can’t work.

Main Job Duties:

• Drive routes to deliver products to customers when needed.
• Load and unload products from trucks to ensure customer orders are accurate and complete.
• Cover for drivers who are absent, on vacation, or when positions are open.
• Work with the Delivery Supervisor to make sure all jobs are covered every day.
• Help departments or teams that need extra hands. This could mean working in merchandising, the warehouse, or doing other general tasks.
• Attend scheduled team meetings.
• Make sure there’s enough product at customer locations.
• Handle products that are close to or past their expiration date properly.
• Report any problems with customer service or deliveries to the Delivery Supervisor.
• Do merchandising tasks like organizing and rotating products to make sure everything runs smoothly.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Education and Experience Needed:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Need to have a Class A, B, or C driver’s license before starting the job.
• Your driving record must follow company rules (limited moving violations allowed).
• Experience in route sales, delivery, or preselling (either with this company or a similar business).

Skills and Abilities You’ll Need:

• Know the basics of how the beverage industry works.
• Be great at customer service and talking to people.
• Follow written and spoken instructions well.
• Have basic math skills.
• Be organized and keep things in order.

Physical Demands:

• Be ready to lift items up to 60 pounds often.
• Load and unload products onto and off trucks.
• Be okay with tasks like pushing, pulling, bending, standing, walking, and climbing stairs frequently.
• Move products or carts, sometimes up and down stairs.
• Work in different conditions, like heat, cold, damp, or wet environments, both indoors and outdoors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
