What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order Picker position at Refreshments, Inc.?
The work responsibilities of an order picker go well beyond just pulling orders. Order pickers need to understand the merchandising world, possess high attention to detail, and be very accurate as customer satisfaction is dependent on their work.
Job Requirements
- Stand and/or walk for a full shift.
- Lift filled tote boxes and stack them for loading.
- Distinguish colors on Light Speed indicator lights.
- Wrap or box items according to instructions provided.
- Place destination information on packed totes such as name, address and route numbers.
- Pull off any old or not needed stickers from totes and make sure that they are discarded properly.
- Re-stock supply racks with product.
- Keep work area clean.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma.
