What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Warehouse Lead position at Refrig-It Warehouse?
Refrig-IT is looking for a Warehouse Lead who is responsible for collaborating with management to coordinate and oversee a wide variety of warehouse activities, including leading people for a daily shift, or on a team basis to achieve company and customer objectives successfully
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for leading assigned warehouse department.
2. Reviews daily warehouse or department workload and assigns tasks to employees.
3. Trains new employees and assists with recurring training for all employees.
4. Ensure optimal utilization of all warehouse resources, including but not limited to, space, equipment and people.
5. Assists with processes to ensure inventory and orders are completed accurately.
6. Maintains and prepares various records and reports.
7. Enforces company policies and safety procedures.
8. Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality are job requirements.
9. The ability to get along with others and non-violence is a job requirement to consistently promote a positive team environment.
10. Assist other employees in the performance of their assigned duties when necessary.
11. Identifies any quality issues and immediately notifies supervisor.
12. Occasionally work overtime and weekends when necessary.
Other Duties:
13. Perform other tasks and/or duties as they may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
19. High School Diploma or equivalent.
20. Previous experience in warehouse operations is preferred.
21. Previous experience in leading or directing other employees or teams is preferred.
Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Knowledge:
22. Knowledge of warehouse operations.
23. Principles and practices of effective customer service.
24. May require material handling certification.
25. Principles and practices of effective leadership skills.
Skills and Abilities Required to Perform Job:

26. Reasoning, reading, language and communication skills, both oral and written are required on the job as well as basic mathematics.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
38. Work is performed in a warehouse environment.
39. Working environments, include but are not limited to warehouse, climate controlled office and a variety of work environments and outside travel.
40. Work activities include normal range of motion. May be required to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 70 pounds.
41. A full range of body motion is required on the job to include frequent sitting, bending, stooping, crouching, lifting, carrying, grasping, pinching, feeling, walking, standing, climbing, driving, pushing/pulling, handling, balancing, reaching on all planes.
42. Fine motor coordination, fine finger dexterity, manual dexterity, eye-hand-foot coordination are required.
43. Seeing (naturally or with correction), listening, hearing, talking, communicating, spatial, form and depth perception, color discrimination, and field vision is also needed.
44. Performs variety of tasks involving dexterous use of legs, feet, arms, hands and fingers and tools and equipment.
45. May be exposed to excessive temperatures, noise, dirt/dust, hazardous chemicals, traffic hazards, variable light, vibration and moving machinery or equipment.
46. May be required to wear protective hard hat, reflective clothing, ear wear, eye wear, gloves, footwear or other required protective attire.
