In this role you'll be responsible for cycle counting and ensuring our inventory is accurate and effeciently managed, contributing to our overall customer and operational success.
Inventory Control Specialist Key Responsibilities:
- Properly reviews inbound and outbound orders to verify accuracy; reports discrepancies.
- Perform 600-800 pick slot counts/2000 reserve counts per person on a daily cycle count of inventory locations in order to maintain accurate perpetual inventory.
- Ensure all paperwork required for movement of product is completed accurately and maintained in accordance with company standards.
- Properly utilize a warehouse management system to ensure accuracy of orders.
- Safely operates various equipment and tools and moves product as necessary.
- Ensure quality of inbound and outbound orders.
- Properly makes adjustments within the warehouse management system to maintain an accurate inventory.
- Correctly counts products and performs counts to maintain an accurate inventory.
- Receives and replies professionally to customer requests.
- Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality are job requirements.
- Identifies any quality issues and immediately notifies supervisor.
- Safely stages material within designated areas as necessary.
- Ensures compliance to inventory and quality processes and procedures.
- Occasionally work overtime and weekends when necessary.
Inventory Control Specialist Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year of quality check experience in warehouse operations .
- One year experience operating powered industrial equipment.
- Two years of warehouse experience.
Inventory Control Certifications and/or Knowledge:
- Knowledge of warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of inventory and quality procedures and processes.
- Principles and practices of effective customer service.
- May require material handling certification.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment.
- Working environments, include but are not limited to warehouse, climate controlled office and a variety of work environments and outside travel.
- Work activities include normal range of motion. May be required to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 70 pounds.
- May be exposed to excessive temperatures, noise, dirt/dust, hazardous chemicals, traffic hazards, variable light, vibration and moving machinery or equipment.
- May be required to wear protective hard hat, reflective clothing, ear wear, eye wear, gloves, footwear or other required protective attire.
