The Human Resources Manager is essential to RSG's business strategy and long-term success. As a member of the leadership team, the HR Manager should embody humility and engagement, focusing on problem-solving and fostering a high-performance culture. Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining open, transparent communication with employees, collaborating with business leaders and front-line supervisors to promote a productive and engaged workplace, and aligning HR initiatives with RSG’s business goals.
Additionally, the HR Manager will oversee various functions such as talent management, organizational development, employee relations, training and development, recruitment, safety, and benefits management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and maintain successful working relationships with management and employees to facilitate the achievement of business objectives.
- Provide proactive coaching, consultation, and direction to management in areas of employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation, and overall organizational effectiveness.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and modern technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Partner with management to address and resolve employee relations concerns or issues.
- Assist Managers/Supervisors to maintain attendance program.
- Responds to employee inquiries regarding company benefits and policies and investigates employee complaints.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and other key business stakeholders to align HR policies with the company's strategic goals
- Analyze candidate flow, turnover rates, and other HR metrics to inform strategic decisions
- Oversee Employee handbook and policies for an entire organization and ensure policies remain up to date on federal and state regulations.
- Manage and train RSG’s performance review program and train managers on how to conduct informal conversations, one-on-ones, and other performance-related processes.
- Oversee HR Department activities to ensure efficient daily workflows Guide to leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and cultural development.
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning:
- Oversee HR Department activities to ensure efficient daily workflows and assist the HR Generalist with organizing the selection and hiring process. Interview and screen applicants, provide interview training, recruit prospective employees, and coordinate searches with recruiters.
- Ensure completion of Orientation/Onboarding.
- Participates in surveys to ensure pay scale complies with changing laws and regulations and meets the organization's objectives.
- Benchmark positions against the market to ensure competitive compensation.
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure a positive new employee onboarding experience including on-the-job training.
- Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, and hiring processes.
- Conduct research, analyze organizational trends, and execute best practices for hiring, developing, and retention
- Create pipelines for hourly and salaried positions and build partnerships with vocational development nonprofits.
- Work with training sources, recruiters, and the community to develop a qualified candidate flow
- Identify, Interview, offer, and onboard new employees
- Develop career development pathways to retain and grow talent within the company.
Employee Engagement & Culture:
- Manage employee communications, relations, and satisfaction
- Implement employee engagement programs to build morale, strengthen communication, and enhance retention.
- Act as a trusted advisor for employees and managers, addressing concerns and facilitating conflict resolution.
- Understanding Gallup and Clifton's Strengths, and providing support to the HR team by training managers and other key stakeholders on Gallup initiatives.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Participate in and support driving Behavior Based Safety culture.
- Participate in and support Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement activities
- Responsible for managing employee files and data within HRIS.
- Maintain and Train Managers on Affirmative Action Compliance.
- Writes, revises, edits, and proofreads company policies and procedures and related documents as needed.
- Ensure the company remains in compliance with laws and regulations, including AAP and OFCCP laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Lead process for employee discipline, performance improvement, and termination
- Prepare employee reporting requirements for lenders and grant sources
- Mitigate risk by managing investigations, claims, and audits as needed.
Compensation, Benefits, & HR Operations:
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation and employee onboarding.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of FMLA and administers FMLA leave procedures.
- Administer and maintain company benefit programs and leave of absence.
- Assists with managing ADA accommodation requests and engages in the interactive process with employees to determine reasonableness.
- Evaluate and recommend employees' benefits including health and retirement plans
- Support payroll with payroll processing and payroll tax filings, including unemployment claims
- Leverage HR metrics and analytics to measure success and inform decision-making.

- Proficiency in ADP Workforce HRIS preferred but not required.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information systems (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or a related field of discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Sourcing & Recruiting in a manufacturing environment
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and wage and hour laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles a plus.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
- Familiarity with Payroll and Time & Attendance systems.
- Excellent presentation skills at all levels of the organization
