RefrigiWear is searching for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This position will assist in maintaining and overseeing company's grounds, buildings, and equipment to ensure workplace safety and function. Will provide leadership and clear vision in refining preventive / predictive maintenance programs, spare parts stocking, and shop management.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- • Perform routine building maintenance as needed
• Learn how to use sewing and embroidery machines and how to make repairs
• Sharpen knives on binders
• Sharpen snips and scissors
• Do monthly inspections on Fire extinguishers, Filters, Lights etc.
• Help keep shop clean and organized
• Will communicate, observe and listen to help with ideas to develop of better working environment system
• Respond to weekend and evening requests
• Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
• Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and painting knowledge is required
• Machine repair experience including sewing and embroidery machine repair is a plus
• Basic knowledge of HVAC preferred
• Good hands on experience with most tools and saws
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Able to multi-task simultaneously
Working Environment and Physical Demands
- • Stand 8 hours a day
• Overtime as needed
• Must be available on-call until 10:00pm during the week and occasionally on weekends
