What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refuge Summer Camp Staff in Manteca position at Refuge Church?
We are looking for Day Camp Staff to supervise young campers and make sure they learn and have fun; May 28 - July 31 May 28-June 14, the position would be full-time. Beginning June 17-July 31, the position would be Tuesday through Thursday, approximately 6 hours per day, with potential for added hours and days. What do Camp Counselors do? The most important out of all Camp Counselor duties is to ensure campers are safe at all times. You’ll be responsible for overseeing their activities. The job duties of a Camp Staff include planning/executing summer camp program, games, and setting up/tearing down equipment. Being reliable and able to build good relationships with children are two essential traits of a Camp Staff. If you’re patient, energetic but strict when needed, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities
- Execute planned indoor and outdoor activities and sports for campers
- Lead recreational and educational activities (such as water days, crafting, etc.)
- Supervise and oversee children
- Educate campers through games and projects
- Set up and maintain equipment (like pickleball, splash pads, etc.)
- Resolve occasional fights between children and address behavioral issues
- Make sure all safety rules are followed
- Ensure site is clean and that campers don’t litter areas
- Perform first aid or take care of injuries as needed
- Keep accurate incident logs through Brightwheel app

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
