JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Regal Boats is seeking a Marine Electrical Support Specialist to provide technical support to our customers. This role is essential in resolving all technical problems in the field and developing a root cause analysis. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of marine electrical systems and can clearly communicate technical information. This person will be required to be an expert on all of Regal’s electrical architecture and other electrical-dependent systems.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting Assistance
- Guide dealers and customers experiencing systems or electrical issues, offering troubleshooting steps to help resolve their issues.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of Regal’s electrical schematics and system layouts to better diagnose and understand reported problems.
- Help develop technical bulletins, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides to improve dealer and customer support resources.
- Track and analyze support cases to assist in identifying system-wide trends and potential product improvements.
Field Issue Reporting & Collaboration with Engineering
- Serve as the liaison between the engineering team and customer support, relaying field concerns related to electrical system performance, reliability, and troubleshooting challenges.
- Learn and develop deep expertise in Regal’s marine electrical systems, including 12V DC and 120/240V AC power systems, digital switching, and battery management.
- Gather real-world feedback from dealers and customers to identify patterns and recurring electrical issues.
- Work closely with engineering to document and escalate electrical system concerns for further investigation and resolution.
- Develop troubleshooting procedures to help improve field support and dealer technical resources.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marine electrical troubleshooting, installation, or support.
- Strong knowledge of 12V DC, 120/240V AC, battery management, and digital switching systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics to aid in troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with NMEA 2000, CZone, CAN bus, and marine electronic communication networks.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to engineering, dealers, and customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for identifying electrical issues in the field.
- Conversational English.
Preferred Qualifications
- ABYC Certification in Marine Electrical Standards or equivalent experience.
- Experience with troubleshooting marine propulsion (Volvo, Yamaha, Mercury) and battery systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting Garmin, EmpirBus, MasterVolt, and other key marine supplier components
- Prior customer support or dealer-facing experience in the marine or automotive industry.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the team member may be exposed to weather conditions, normal office environments or factory environments that are not climate-controlled. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The factory in certain areas maintains a high fiberglass and dust environment. Open to travel when needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be regularly sitting at a desk and working on a computer for prolonged periods. The employee is frequently required to go into non-climate-controlled manufacturing facilities to connect with and assist management and team members with HR-related issues. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 15 pounds.
