Summary
We are seeking a Quality Process Engineer with a strong background in data analysis, process improvement, and business intelligence reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and passionate about leveraging data to improve product quality and production efficiency.
This position will play a key role in creating dashboards, analyzing quality data, and using advanced tools like Power BI to drive improvements across production processes. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of quality in our boats.

The employee is frequently required to climb into and out of the boats using stairs. The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10 hour days with most of the time being on your feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned. Must be able to, with or without correct close vision, ability to adjust focus, and be able to distinguish between different colors.

- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) to track quality performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to improve quality-related sign-offs, completions, and documentation.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Generate detailed quality reports and present actionable insights to leadership and production teams.
- Standardize documentation of data analysis processes and reporting methodologies.
- Monitor and enhance data collection systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Lead data-driven process optimization and quality improvement initiatives.
- Utilize statistical tools and predictive analytics to identify and mitigate quality risks.
- Train and support team members in the use of data visualization tools and analysis techniques.
- Actively participate in problem-solving and root cause analysis using quality data.
- The team member will spend approximately 60% of time in the office and 40% on the floor.
- Required Qualifications
- Strong computer skills with a solid understanding of data analysis methodologies and statistical techniques.
- Proficiency in Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Experience managing and interpreting large data sets.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Quality Management, Continuous Improvement, or related field.
- Previous experience in data analysis or process improvement within manufacturing or marine environments.
- Familiarity with marine manufacturing processes and quality data collection methods.
- Experience implementing or supporting a Quality Management System (QMS).
- Knowledge of database management and data warehousing concepts.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
