Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team at Regal Nissan Inc./Regal INEOS Grenadier. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Accounting Office with the following items and other items not listed as needed, producing AR statements and sending out, payment processing, and customer account reconciliation as well as handling Product cancellations, F&I product remittances, posting payments made to the our bank for various items, reconciling the Nissan Parts statement and scanning service Repair Orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payment Processing: Record and process customer payments, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions. Update customer accounts accordingly.
- Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile customer accounts, addressing discrepancies and ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Customer Communication: Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices, payment arrangements, and any billing inquiries. Provide excellent customer service to resolve issues promptly.
- Reporting: Generate reports on accounts receivable status, aging reports, and collections for management review.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the parts and service departments to facilitate smooth transactions and resolve billing-related issues.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with dealership policies and accounting standards.
- Cancellations: Processing, tracking and completing cancellations of Warranties, Gap policies, & Ancillary products sold by the dealership(s).
- F&I Products: Remitting products sold in F&I and posting payments.
- Title Work: Assisting with title work overflow.
- Scanning: Service Repair Orders
- Other duties assigned by the Office Manager.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or related field, preferably in an automotive dealership setting.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
