We are seeking candidates for a Director of Supply Chain position in Midlothian, Texas for a CGMP client in the cosmetics and supplement manufacturing industry.
Summary :
to ensure the supply chain is efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the business's objectives. Coordinating between planning, purchasing, manufacturing and other business units to support business goals, including product launches. Create & manage S&OP processes, inventory policies, and KPIs.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the entire supply chain operations, including purchasing, planning, inventory management, logistics and order fulfillment.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company goals and market demands.
- Manage sustainability initiatives and risk management plans.
- Monitor the movement of goods and services, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to meet quality and safety standards.
- Create & maintain partnerships with suppliers for goods and services to optimize inventory, maintain stable inventory levels at the best price. This includes raw materials, packaging, herbs, and MRO items.
- Collaborate with Planning, Marketing, and R&D teams to align & execute supply chain activities with demand from product launch to end-of life transitions.
- Focus on cost management and customer satisfaction by driving the creation and maintenance of KPIs for the teams under his / her direct supervision. Examples include weekly delivery counts, warehouse cycle counts, PR-to PO aging indicators, vendor scorecards & lead-time maintenance, on time delivery metrics, freight cost measures, and purchased inventory targets.
- Strong data management skills are a must. Candidates must be able to independently build KPI tools to measure operational and financial performance.
- Familiar with ERP and MRP systems. Oracle cloud preferred.
- Able to identify potential problems and points of friction and work to find solutions to maximize efficiency and revenue.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Proven ability to manage multiple teams and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Create & document supply chain management strategies that work across departments to increase efficiency and speed.
