Material Handler

SUMMARY

Warner Electric is looking for candidates for Material Handler on 1st shift (7a-3p). To perform this job successfully, an individual must be team oriented; operate industrial trucks (sit and stand), hoists, tuggers and pallet jacks; develop, implement, and maintain improvement initiatives and must have the ability and willingness to train others.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Operate industrial trucks (sit and stand), hoists, tuggers, rolling cart and pallet jacks to assist in loading or moving materials and products. Lifts, loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves objects by hand, power hoist or industrial truck as appropriate by material or product weight
• Prepares all skids for shipment, stocks / stages production cells components at their point of use, keeps supplies on the production floor orderly and maintains and cleans work area
• Continually improve safety record with a proactive approach to physical safety issues and employee safety behavior.
• Communicates and coordinates with other associates and departments as needed to deliver product to meet customer expectations, performs standard work and a willingness to learn standard processes

Lifting - 0" to 33" - Frequent up to 50#

Lifting - 34" - 54" - Frequent up to 40# placement of raw materials

Pushing / Pulling - Occasional up to 80# up to 250 feet
