What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder position at Regal Rexnord Corp?
Position Summary :
The Welder is responsible for performing setup on all entry level welding components that range from similar to dissimilar metals and alloys requiring a high degree of skill and welding technique or involving a considerable number of parts and / or smaller more complicated weldments where alignment, dimensions and weld quality must conform to strict quality standards.
Major Responsibilities :
- Accuracy with alignment, dimensions, materials, number of components, correct corresponding machine order and general inspection requirements.
- Setup weldments per blueprint specifications.
- Mig weld to blueprint specifications.
- Tig, Arc, Stud weld and utilization of a torch.
- Properly setup welding machines to obtain proper welding penetration.
- Clean welds to check for imperfections.
- Ensure proper finish squareness.
- Interpretation of work orders, blueprints and bills of material.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Required Education / Experience / Skills :
Travel : No overnight travel required.
