What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grinder- ID position at Regal Rexnord?
A production machinist responsible for producing work efficiently. Sets-up and operates grinding machines to produce parts to specifications. Selects attachments to grind angles, contours, and other shapes. May orient, train, and assign work to lower-level associates.
- Completes set-ups with some supervision.
- Responsible for all phases of part operation, including quality inspection and records.
- May identify and recommend process improvements.
- May improve processes, procedures, and eliminate waste.
- Experience operating CNC ID grinding equipment.
- Skilled in indicator, gage, dial bores, and plate inspection methods.
- Ability to maintain close tolerances of ID's and profile.
- Understanding of machine tool accuracies and tool offsets.
- Knowledge of cutting wheel feeds, speeds, and wheel life.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to communicate with employees and management.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ideal candidate will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.
- Must be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder) due to ITAR requirements.
