About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Machinist Technician to join our team in operating CNC ID grinding equipment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality parts efficiently while adhering to precise engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate grinding machines with precision and accuracy, ensuring that all parts meet established blueprint and engineering specifications.
- Select and calibrate attachments to grind various angles, contours, lines, spheres, etc., on surfaces, and perform set-ups under supervision as required.
- Dress and change wheels for different finish requirements, and ensure accurate in-process quality inspection and record-keeping.
- Identify areas for process improvements that reduce part quality variation, and recommend changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in operating set-up on CNC ID grinding equipment, with skills in using indicator, gage, dial bores, and plate inspection methods.
- Ability to maintain close tolerances of IDs, hold profile, roundness, and understand machine tool accuracies, tool offsets, cutting wheel feeds, speeds, and wheel life for aerospace grinding.
