We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team at a warehouse in Midlothian, TX. This role is crucial in analyzing financial data, estimating product costs, and providing management with accurate reports to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
Key Responsibilities :
Collect and organize cost data to maintain an accurate expense database.
Analyze and estimate costs for new and existing product lines.
Prepare and present cost reports to management.
Collaborate with various departments to establish cost standards and budgets.
Identify and recommend cost-saving solutions.
Conduct physical inventory checks and monitor inventory systems.
Assist with audits and general ledger maintenance.
Forecast and plan future purchasing costs based on financial needs.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Experience : Minimum of 3 years in cost accounting, cost analysis, or a related accounting role.
Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Oracle Fusion , Microsoft Excel , and other financial software.
Ability to analyze data, create reports, and communicate findings effectively.
Strong time management, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
