Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead the preparation of the Company’s quarterly and annual external financial statements, including related footnote disclosures and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and review the quarterly and annual Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) for external investors, upgrading disclosures to meet public company standards and ensuring alignment with industry peers.
- Manage the research of technical accounting issues, including the review of conclusions in accounting memos, and address external auditor inquiries.
- Monitor, interpret, and communicate new and proposed accounting pronouncements, assisting key stakeholders in assessing their financial, operational, and reporting implications.
- Interpret GAAP standards to determine the appropriate accounting and financial reporting treatments for new, material, or complex transactions, and collaborate with departments to resolve accounting-related queries.
- Prepare and review debt covenant calculations, ensuring compliance with the reporting requirements in the Company’s debt agreements.
- Develop a comprehensive MD&A analysis, integrating input from various business units, and establish standardized processes.
- Review all relevant disclosure checklists and reporting questionnaires to ensure the appropriateness and completeness of disclosures.
- Perform corporate accounting activities related to stock-based compensation, annual segment memo, foreign currency, goodwill and debt.
- Collaborate regularly with external auditors and legal counsel to ensure the accuracy of quarterly and annual filings and the correct application of accounting standards.
- Oversee the implementation and administration of third-party software (Workiva) to automate and connect financial data for external financial reports, including XBRL compliance for public company reporting.
- Administer the Company’s Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) through the Shareworks platform, ensuring continuous reconciliation and proper administration of stock records.
- Oversee the application of ASC as part of the LTIP, including the recognition of stock-based compensation and the required disclosures.
- Validate the accuracy and integrity of financial data used in external reporting and disclosures.
- Assist with preparation of Audit Committee and Board materials.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of internal controls for SOX compliance.
- Participate in the development of software applications and processes for business and accounting functions.
- Manage and provide leadership, coaching and development for the External Reporting team.
- Provide support and analyses for ad-hoc requests and for special projects (acquisitions, divestitures, refinancing).
- Apply critical thinking and collaborate with business leaders to ensure favorable accounting treatment where necessary.

Education and / or Experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Certified Public Accountant.
Language Ability
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy / procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various levels of management.
Math Ability
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Outlook, Word, and internet research. Advanced Excel skills and ability to perform Pivots, V-lookups and other functions with Excel. Experience with Global ERP systems and other third-party accounting software. Exposure to Hyperion or other consolidation systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The position will manage the External Reporting Team of direct and indirect reports.
