JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
The staff accountant will perform general financial accounting tasks and other related duties for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Assists with review of accounts payable and accounts receivable invoicing.
- Oversees and assists with monthly reconciliation of vendor statements.
- Manages weekly vendor payment processing and remittance reporting.
- Generate and process journal entries in a timely manner.
- Assists Financial Accounting Leader with month end closing and preparation of internal financial reports.
- Performs monthly GL reconciliations.
- Process all company expense reports and expense reimbursements.
- Communicates effectively, both externally and internally, in a timely manner.
- Miscellaneous projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree – Accounting or Finance
- At least 1 year of experience (private sector preferred)
- Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
