Job Description:
As Senior Accountant for Regan Communications Group, you will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations and will support the wide range of services we provide to our many clients. By ensuring that financial recordkeeping, budgeting, and accounting functions are performed in an accurate and timely manner, you will ensure the sound fiscal operations necessary for RCG to build on its four-decade record of success.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and updated financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconcile intercompany accounts, payroll data, and general ledger entries. Provide the Executive Committee with bi-weekly financial information.
Invoicing and Billing: Prepare and send invoices to RCG clients and manage billing cycles.
Expense Management: Track and reconcile expenses related to client service in our Boston headquarters and our locations in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Delaware, South Carolina, Florida and on Cape Cod.
Cash Flow Management Monitor cash flow and assist with financial forecasting to ensure the company has sufficient liquidity for daily operations. Assist with budgeting, preparing cash flow projections, and identifying financial opportunities or risks. Recommend and implement measures to enhance cash flow management.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets, media spending analyses, and financial forecasts.
Reporting: Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial summaries for RCG management
Collaboration: Work closely with the RCG leadership team to understand campaign financials.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Seven to ten years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting/forecasting; experience in a public relations or advertising agency is a plus.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other spreadsheet software.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
