In this role, you'll lead and inspire a small team in creating beautiful outdoor spaces as a Softscape Foreman. You'll oversee the installation and maintenance of living landscaping elements, including plants, trees, shrubs, and turf. You'll work with cutting-edge equipment, read and execute landscape plans, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 3-4 employees performing all aspects of softscape construction including: trees, plants, soil, mulch, and living components.
- Operate company equipment including but not limited to skid steer, mini-excavator, mini-skid steer, tracked loader, chop saw.
- Read landscape plans and drawings, lay out a job site, and order materials.
- Meet or exceed project completion deadlines for each job while finishing within budget.
- Complete all paperwork and administrative requirements related to the project.
- Interface with clients, subcontractors, landscape designers (or architects), etc. as needed.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance (PM) on company equipment.
- Ability to read architects' and engineers' scales.
- Additional duties as needed or required.
Position Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a landscaping role, preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Valid NYS Drivers’ License, required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Landscape Construction: 2 years, preferred.
- Green Industry: 2 years, preferred.
- Supervisory: 2 years, preferred.

Position Summary

Physical Requirements/Abilities
Dexterity with hands, ability to tolerate vibrations while using machinery and ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Bending, walking, twisting, pulling, carrying up to 50lbs. Hearing, listening and seeing ability. Ability to tolerate variety of outdoor climates, including sunny days and hot/humid temperatures, as well as rainy days and cooler temperatures.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
