Director of Nursing

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team.

About the Role

The Director of Nursing will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the nursing department. They will oversee the overall direction and evaluation of nursing care and services provided to our residents.

  • Supervise nursing care provided by registered nurses, licensed vocational / practical nurses, and STNA / CNAs
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care through regular resident rounds
  • Ensure proper charting and documentation of care and medications / treatments

Responsibilities

The Director of Nursing will also be responsible for :

  • Recommending staffing levels and personnel to the administrator
  • Maintaining current knowledge of applicable managed care, Medicare, and state Medicaid regulations
  • Participating in the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement program

    • Requirements

    To be successful in this role, you will need :

  • RN license in the state
  • Director of Nursing or management experience in long-term care, restorative, or geriatric nursing
