We are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join our corporate office located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.This position will assist in the execution of Regency’s internal audit plan based on results of an ongoing company-wide risk assessment and the reporting requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley. This position will participate in the planning, execution and reporting phases of financial, operational and compliance audits. The position will be responsible for identifying control issues and process improvements that enhance profitability, streamline operations and allow the company to better safeguard assets.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Assisting the Manager of Internal Audit in ongoing compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act, specifically Section 404 control testing; developing and maintaining open, productive communication with process owners
Developing and performing audit procedures covering all significant business and IT processes:
Understanding risks, assisting in developing testing programs, developing and administering surveys and documenting processes and procedures
Conducting interviews, reviewing and analyzing evidence, preparing working papers and composing summary memos and reports
Identifying, developing and documenting issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed
Assessing the efficiency of existing processes and procedures; identifying potential opportunities for process improvements; communicating or assisting in communicating the results of internal audit projects via written reports and oral presentations to management
Providing direct assistance to Regency’s independent auditors
Performing related work and tasks as assigned by Internal Audit management
Are You Qualified?
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or closely related field from an accredited college or university
At least three (3) years of experience in accounting, finance or a related discipline
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, internal controls and process improvement
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software, preferably JD Edwards
Occasional travel to regional offices
Preferred:
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in audit
CIA or CPA designation
Big 4 audit experience
Experience auditing a publicly traded company or commercial real estate experience
IT auditing experience
Exposure to data mining software
