Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, taking X-rays, maintaining patient records, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Take and develop X-rays as directed by the dentist - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Take and record patients' vital signs - Update and maintain patient records, including medical history and treatment plans - Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar - Perform dental receptionist duties as needed - Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality - Adhere to strict infection control protocols Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred - X-ray certification required - Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus - Proficiency in Dentrix or Eaglesoft dental software preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
