RESPONSIBLITIES FOR THE DIRECTOR OF NURSING ARE
- Develops and implements clinical systems that ensure consistent delivery of quality resident care and services.
- Organizes, plans, and directs department functions and activities to comply with long and short term objectives.
- Consistently evaluates the department policies and procedures for compliance with current rules and regulations
- Monitors Quality Indicators, identifies trends, and develops action plans.
- Interprets regulatory requirements and monitors documentation for compliance.
- Maintains compliance with nursing care standards, policies, procedures and regulatory agency requirements.
- Manages and analyzes the staffing patterns to ensure that all nursing units are staffed accordingly.
- Establishes positive employee relations programs and practices.
- Serves as a role model and mentor for the entire nursing team,
- Uses effective communication skills by providing timely feedback to all personnel.
