What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Director/Coordinator position at Regency Home Health?
Regency Home Health is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Director or Coordinator to serve at a local schools (we currently have 3 positions open in the Rockingham County New Hampshire area). This position will begin immediately and continue through the remainder of the current school year into the next. As the employer, Regency Home Health will provide all necessary support while you are placed at the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the Special Education department at the assigned school
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Supervise and support special education staff, including teachers and paraprofessionals
- Collaborate with general education staff to ensure integration of students with disabilities
- Monitor student progress and adjust educational strategies as needed
- Ensure the school’s adherence to New Hampshire state educational policies and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Certified by the New Hampshire State Department of Education as an Administrator PREFERRED
- Certified Special Education Teacher in the state of New Hampshire REQUIRED
- Proven experience in special education administration
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and state and federal regulations regarding special education
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Pay: $50 - $60 per hour, depending on experience and lincensing
- PTO Accrual – Paid time off benefits available
