About the Role
The Culinary Operations Director serves as the key liaison between the clinical team and kitchen staff, ensuring that residents receive personalized meals tailored to their dietary needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diet history screenings for residents upon admission.
- Develop and implement customized menus in accordance with resident preferences and clinical requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment compliant with state and federal regulations.
- Oversee purchasing activities within the dietary department.
- Spearhead all aspects of kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and accommodate resident preferences and routines regarding dining.
- Accurately document dietary components of resident care plans in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Certified Dietary Manager certification or enrollment in an approved certification course.
- ServSafe certification obtained within 90 days of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in institutional food service settings, preferably with two years of supervised experience focused on planning, preparing, and serving regular and therapeutic diets.
