Wellness Director – RN/LPN
Job Summary
Village at Prineville seeks a RN/LPN Wellness Director to lead and support our nursing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN manager looking to transition into a non-clinical role or a nurse seeking to step into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
Foster a resident-centered approach to planning and delivering services, supporting residents' rights to participate in decision-making and treating them with dignity and respect.
Assess resident health, functional status, and psychosocial well-being, initiate individualized service plans, and proactively manage care and services to maximize the resident's opportunity to remain in the assisted living environment.
Coordinate with community professionals, including physicians, discharge planners, nurses, home health agency staff, case managers, and state agency personnel to ensure residents' care needs are met.
Arrange ancillary services such as pharmacy, podiatry, lab, and x-ray.
Delegate nursing tasks as allowed under applicable laws and practice acts, communicate regularly with residents, their families, and healthcare practitioners.
Train, supervise, and monitor staff to provide personal care, medication management, and other health-related services, ensuring alignment with our philosophy of care.
Communicate regularly with residents' families regarding health care needs and instruct and reassure them in maintaining health and managing medical conditions.
Requirements
You must possess:
- A nursing license in good standing.
- Two or more years of geriatric nursing experience, including experience with medication administration, delivery systems, and pharmacies.
- Creative problem-solving skills in both resident care and employee management.
- One or more years of supervisory/management experience, with expertise in budgets, staff development, training, and scheduling.
