What are the responsibilities and job description for the Birth Tissue Acquisition Technician position at Regenerative Biologics, Inc.?
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position is responsible for recovering birth tissue and coordinating the tissue donor process. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills; display professional behavior at all times, and must have a medical background (i.e. surgical tech, tissue bank, autopsy). Operating Room experience preferred. Experience in aseptic technique is a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Procedures compliant with American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB), FDA, and the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA)
- Operating room recovery environment using aseptic technique and procedures to recover tissues
- Ensure recovery documentation is completed and submitted
- Arrange coordination with agencies to ensure donor testing and shipping is compliant
- Maintain confidentiality of all involved
- Assist with quality control in field office
- Participate in continuing education, training courses, and meetings
- Perform other functions or duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required and surgical certification (preferred)
Prior experience in recovering/retrieving human tissues (preferred)
Strong comprehension and skills in documentation
Must have clean driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May be required to be in procedures for up to 6 hours
Able to stand for long periods of time
Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to work under changing conditions and urgent needs
Pay Structure:
The Recovery Technician position is a per diem position. The pay is structured around the type of acquisitions performed and is very competitive. There is hourly pay associated with training, meetings and responsibilities outside of the normal acquisition duties. Pay structure will be discussed in more detail during the interview process.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
