Orthopedic Practice Seeks Customer Service Superstar for Scheduling Team

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls to schedule new patient and follow-up clinic appointments.
- Obtain and verify patient identity, financial, demographic, and insurance information.
- Screen calls and relay information accurately and concisely.
- Ensure patient privacy in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collect, enter, and update patient information while preparing medical records.
- Obtain pertinent patient information from referring physician offices when necessary.
- Maintain effective and professional communication with patients, physicians, and practices.
- Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology.
- Assist with duties as directed and adhere to company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
