Orthopedic Practice Seeks Customer Service Superstar for Scheduling Team

Join our esteemed orthopedic practice, spanning three clinics across the Portland Metro area, as we seek a dedicated individual to join our scheduling team. We're on the lookout for someone who genuinely prioritizes patient well-being and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming calls to schedule new patient and follow-up clinic appointments.
• Obtain and verify patient identity, financial, demographic, and insurance information.
• Screen calls and relay information accurately and concisely.
• Ensure patient privacy in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collect, enter, and update patient information while preparing medical records.
• Obtain pertinent patient information from referring physician offices when necessary.
• Maintain effective and professional communication with patients, physicians, and practices.
• Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology.
• Assist with duties as directed and adhere to company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• Office and clinical environment.
• Requires normal range of vision and hearing.
