Job Summary
To participate in patient care ensuring that all duties assigned are done in an efficient and professional manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide constant evaluation, observation, and treatment of patients.
· Review the patient’s chart. Maintain accurate documentation.
· Assist in the safe transportation and positioning of patients.
· Assist with the counts and recording of narcotics at the beginning and end of the day.
· Prepare the operating room. Restock medications and supplies. Check equipment for proper functioning.
· Administer IV conscious sedation (once deemed competent), per policy and physician’s orders.
· Communicate important information to patients, patient’s family, and staff.
· Assist with emergencies in the facility, as per policy.
· Assist with orientation of new personnel.
· Perform chart audits for the surgical center.
· Respect the confidentiality of patient, center, and physician related information. Maintain confidentiality of patient records and use complete discretion when discussing patient information.
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
· Perform other tasks as assigned by charge nurse, Director of Operations, or providers.
· Work closely with physicians to optimize documentation and explain pre-procedure/discharge instructions.
· Assist with post-operative calls, as required.
· Manage Inventory
· Document and maintain appropriate workflow in patient’s electronic medical records.

Education and/or Experience:
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
- Must have current GA nursing license, BLS, ACLS and other required training. Newly hired nurses will be given a 90-day grace period to obtain BLS and ACLS Certification.
- Covid vaccination
- Knowledge of equipment, instrumentation and supplies required to perform specific responsibilities.
Communication Skills:
Strong customer service skills. Good command of the English language, both verbal and written. Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients and others.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to work independently with detail and accuracy. Ability to apply common sense, understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods. The employee is regularly required to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee must regularly lift 100 pounds with assistance and 50 pounds without assistance. Must assist patients, of all sizes and weights, on and off the surgical table. Visual acuity for chart review and equipment operation. Considerable stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting required.
- Required to wear (approximately 5lb) lead aprons during procedures.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
· Employees are exposed to radiation due to the use of fluoroscopy.
- Employee may be required between multiple locations, as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $41.00 per hour
