The Senior Director (National Director), Field Medical Affairs-Ophthalmology will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to a team of Field Medical Regional and Associate Directors (Medical Science Liaisons). This is an exciting opportunity to shape Field Medical strategy for multiple launches.A typical day may include the following : Translate our Ophthalmology Medical Affairs strategies into field medical initiatives, ensuring seamless execution as a cohesive team.Establish and maintain professional relationships with key medical experts, investigators, and institutions within the Ophthalmology community, ensuring a customer-centric approach.Provide leadership to ensure the execution of strategic territory plans and high-impact engagements.Maintain scientific excellence through robust therapeutic training, effective verbalization, and utilization of approved resources.Ensure timely communication and actionable insights are infused into our strategies, and flawless congress execution.Foster medical partnerships with payor and private equity group presentations to formulary boards and decision makers.Engage in effective cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Market Access, Clinical, Medical Affairs, and more to ensure alignment and communication.Grow and expand clinical trial execution partnerships to provide evidence generation excellence.Implement a strong commitment to Ophthalmology, anticipating our future needs and paving the way for advancements through a proactive and innovative approach.Deliver continuous coaching and talent development to team members and the entire field medical team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.This may be for you if you : Exhibit active people leadership and are eager to contribute to a dynamic team poised for exciting achievements.Possess strategic leadership experience with Medical Affairs and an exceptional ability to collaborate.Demonstrate expertise in developing innovative solutions and exhibiting strong organizational skills.Embody a positive, agile, and flexible approach, while thriving under pressure.To be considered, you are required to have an advanced medical and / or scientific degree (e.g., MD / DO, PhD, PharmD, DVM). A postgraduate residency or fellowship is preferred. 10 years of work experience in Medical Affairs and 5 years of Field Medical people management is required. 5 years of Ophthalmology pharmaceutical work experience is required.
