Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Manager to support the Strategic Partnerships & Business Operations team at the Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC) in achieving its scientific mission. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing compliance with RGC's contractual obligations, working with a diverse range of agreements with academic institutions, not-for-profit partners, and strategic vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tracking reporting requirements, milestones, and deadlines for large contract portfolios.
- Monitoring and logging internal queries and responses around data use.
- Generating reports for internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Reviewing and tracking decisions made by counsel and leadership.
- Actioning responses to asset and data retention obligations.
- Submitting and ensuring up-to-date compliance risk assessments.
- Updating entries and files in Salesforce and SharePoint.
Requirements
- Passion for science and patient impact, along with curiosity and desire to learn.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity in fast-paced environments and prioritize effort based on business/group/external context.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience supporting collaboration and licensing activities, including sponsored research agreements, confidentiality agreements, and material transfer agreements.
- Basic understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech business development fundamentals.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across research, clinical, finance, legal, and administrative functions, as well as third-party collaborators.
- Experience working in an environment requiring flexibility and continuous multi-tasking.
Qualifications
- Degree in business, law, or related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in contract compliance, alliance management, business development, academic technology transfer, biopharma, or healthcare industry.
- Strong organizational skills, good communication (written and oral), and presentation skills.
- Experience managing a portfolio of contracting activities.
- Experience with CRM management (e.g., Salesforce).
- Interest or experience in genetics.
Work Environment
- Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required.
- Must be onsite at least 3 days a week, subject to management discretion.
