Director, Global Procurement - Market Access

Regeneron is looking for a Director of Commercial Procurement, Market Access to join our growing Global Procurement team. This role will be accountable to develop a thoughtful procurement strategy to support our Market Access organization. This is a brand new role and an exciting opportunity to collaborate across the enterprise to build a progressive program that will help ensure that Regeneron products are accessible to patients and healthcare providers.

This role is based at our Sleepy Hollow, NY location with hybrid onsite work (3 days a week) and is not open to fully remote assignments.

A typical day in the life of the Director could include:

• Leading negotiations, supplier management activities, and stakeholder engagement activities for the Market Access Category as assigned
• Developing and evolving a robust category strategy through different stages of maturity
• Working independently to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities
• Representing Global Procurement by participating in organizational decisions in the Market Access categories with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results of the organization and company
• Leading category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations
• Negotiating contract terms and conditions in consultation with Law department aligned with Regeneron’s priorities and business requirements
• Managing a small team of professional level employees responsible for performing category management tasks
• Providing coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports and providing leadership examples for the organization
  
  

This role may be for you if you have

• Knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities
• The ability to understand complex landscape of Market Access and its requirements
• Significant experience building influential relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to drive results.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams to drive results
• The enabling qualities to operate with integrity, focus, and clarity in an environment of ambiguity to drive change and improvement.
• Experience working in a matrixed global organization while driving local priorities within a global framework
• Experience leading manager level professionals in a multi-national firm including writing performance reviews, setting annual objectives, coaching, and developing direct reports
  
  

To be considered for this role you must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study plus progressive experience in procurement, preferably including substantial experience in Pharma/BioPharma Market Access. Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams to drive results in Global Facilities, Capital and Logistics categories or related categories through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management

Working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERP’s, and eRFx systems preferred (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other.)
