We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join our growing Structural Biology group, part of the Therapeutic Proteins department. This position is primarily focused on cryo-electron microscopy of molecules in Regeneron's drug development pipeline, including membrane proteins, large multi-protein assemblies, and antibody-target complexes. Salary Range (annually)
$108,300.00 - $176,700.00
As a Senior Scientist in the Structural Biology group, a typical day might include:
- Characterizing and purifying protein complexes, freezing grids, collecting cryoEM data
- Conducting single-particle cryoEM map refinement, structure determination, and structure analysis
- Conducting cryoET data collection, tomogram reconstruction and interpretation
- Predicting protein features such as viscosity or aggregation propensity from large datasets
- Meeting with colleagues from different departments across Research & Preclinical Development to discuss their projects and design insightful structural experiments
- Presenting results to varying audiences
- Are highly collaborative and can work well in groups of scientists from different fields
- Have the ability to explain complex structural biology data to an audience of non-specialists, as well as the ability to rapidly absorb information from other fields such as immunology, oncology, or cell biology
- Have excellent record-keeping and time management skills - you will be working on many different projects at the same time
