POSITION SUMMARY
The Patient Care Supervisor is the direct report for the Patient Care Coordinators. The incumbent in this position is responsible, under manager level supervision, for supervising workflow, policies, and procedures of these department activities to ensure the highest level of productivity, accuracy, quality, and safety. Patient Care Supervisor serves as the initial point of contact for company related Patient Care issues and provides a broad range of administrative support duties including reviewing, researching, and processing information, preparing routine and special documents and correspondence, and performing office operations and administrative support activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises the day-to-day operational performance and priorities.
- Ensures the highest level of productivity, accuracy, quality, and safety.
- Manages staff scheduling and PTO to meet the business needs.
- Ensures all procedures are up to date and appropriate staff is trained to these procedures.
- Provides regular feedback to direct reports to enhance skill and knowledge, including quarterly reviews.
- Reviews, research, and resolves issues and data based on established policies and procedures, general guidelines, and ad hoc to discover and analyze anomalies, maximizing high performance standards, patient approval ratings, etc.
- Continuously identifies process improvements to maximize efficiency and evolve with changes in business needs and objectives.
- Works closely with Sales, Sales and Payor Support, Product, and Regulatory and Quality departments to ensure processes and process improvements correspond with other departmental processes and are within FDA and ISO regulations.
- Works closely with IT department to report and resolve system issues.
- Works closely with Medical Affairs to assist with medical training for Patient Care Coordinators
- Maintains protocols with latest directives for high consistency of data.
- Leads all bi-weekly Patient Care Coordinator meetings.
- Provides quarterly educational trainings to Patient Care Coordinators as directed by the Patient Care Manager.
- Provides quarterly department metrics to Patient Care Manager
- Maintains excellent standard of patient care.
- Performs other projects as assigned.
