Responsibilities
This entry level position will be based at Regent’s headquarters in Beverly Hills, California.
Salary and bonus: $85,000 bonus plan tied to deal sourcing
Responsibilities
- Sourcing, identifying, and evaluating new investment opportunities and acquisition prospects
- Regularly communicating with prospective acquisition targets and their representatives via email, telephone and CRM.
- Conducting extensive industry research
- Actively participating in the M&A deal qualification process and ability to support due diligence efforts
- Preparing material for the presentation of investment opportunities
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions across multiple industry verticals
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior analysts
- Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree from a leading college or university, preferably in Business, Finance or Economics
- 3 years of Origination or Business Development experience within Private Equity
- Entrepreneurial, intellectually curious with an optimistic attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Full understanding of financial statements, financial models and business valuations
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and new challenges
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion and good judgment
- Related work experience or internship in corporate development, financial services, M&A investment banking or private equity is preferred
- Flexibility to travel on a regular basis with short notice.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
