REGENT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vehicle Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Lead Vehicle Software Engineer, as a Senior Vehicle Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing software systems for our seaglider projects. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of software with hardware components, enabling safe and reliable flight operations. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of electric aviation and contribute to the development of groundbreaking technology that will redefine air travel.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Lead the development and maintenance of software systems for seaglider projects, including vehicle guidance, navigation, system management, and communication
- Lead the configuration management, deployment, integration, and testing of software onto vehicle hardware
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems engineers, and other stakeholders to define software requirements and specifications
- Optimize software for efficiency, reliability, and real-time performance in resource-constrained embedded systems
- Conduct software-hardware integration, debugging, and verification activities to validate system functionality, reliability, and performance
- Adhere to industry best practices and standards for software development, safety, and quality assurance
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support their professional growth and development
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in vehicle software development
