About the role
The Nursing Assistant provides general patient care assistance under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. Responsible for the general maintenance of equipment, room and supplies.

What you'll do
- Maintains the area, equipment and level of supplies.
- Performs a variety of assisting and servicing activities, both with the patients and to help maintain the area.
- Provides and gives cooperative and courteous service to patients, staff, visitors and others as part of the organization's commitment to quality services.
- Works effectively as part of the healthcare team to facilitate the unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his / her responsibilities related to general safety, center / service safety and specific job-related hazards.
- Free from the occurrence of risk or danger or loss. Seeks to prevent injury to themselves and others.
- Follows the center exposure control plans for blood borne and airborne pathogens.
- Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the patient as defined in the scope of service, to assure that the unique nature of the client is addressed.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
- Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a center / unit team to facilitate the center and unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
