About The Role
- As a Registered Nurse, you will join a dedicated team at our Surgical Center committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In this role, you will ensure continuity of care for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures, collaborating closely with the healthcare team to support the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgical Center. This position oversees and directs patient care within a single endoscopy room, playing a vital role in maintaining clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
- Serve as a patient advocate, assessing patient and family needs to deliver personalized, quality care.
- Coordinate resources, including time, equipment, supplies, and personnel, for effective and efficient case management.
- Support cost-containment initiatives by utilizing supplies economically and optimizing turnover times.
- Confirm patient identity and ensure the correct surgical intervention is performed, adhering to policy and procedure guidelines.
- Prepare the operating/procedure room to meet the requirements of each patient and procedure.
- Maintain current licensure and certification, pursuing ongoing professional development.
- Act as a role model for current and new staff, fostering a professional and supportive environment.
- Participate in and adhere to all required safety training programs and exposure control plans related to bloodborne and airborne pathogens.
- Demonstrate respect, integrity, stewardship, and efficiency (RISE Program) in all interactions and responsibilities.
- Take on additional duties as assigned to support the Surgical Center's operations.
- Required:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification as needed.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
- Experience in ambulatory surgery center (ASC) settings.
- Specialty certification relevant to the department.
