The Maintenance Specialist provides the University with the skills and labor needed to maintain our facility in the highest state of readiness for the faculty, staff and students. This role will be performing all tasks assigned by the Facility Services Manager in a timely manner, while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.
Essential duties:
- Perform all repairs and preventative maintenance necessary to ensure maximum safety and upkeep of Regent University.
- Provide the skill and expertise required for upkeep of all painted surfaces on campus.
- Perform all aspects of light construction and remodeling.
- On call for after-hours emergencies and inclement weather.
- Assist with duties as required for university special events, general craftsman related tasks, and in support of Facility Services as a whole.
- Train student workers as directed.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education and or experience
- 3 years of experience in general repairs
Candidates must have:
- Ability to use all types of hand tools
- Ability to work minimal supervision
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 65 pounds and have good agility (i.e. climb ladders, bend, stoop, crawl, and stand for long periods of time)
