Responsibilities:
- Work with the Student Engagement Team to create and facilitate the Orientation Leader training program
- Lead a group of 15-18 Connect Group Leaders and Resident Assistants
- Serve as a resource regarding all campus services and activities for new students and their families
- Address concerns and answer questions of new students
- Orientation Captains will be the point of contact for Orientation Leaders
- Knowledgeable about various aspects of Regent University
- Serve as a positive role model for new students and their families
- Encourage new students to fully participate in orientation activities
- Maintain enthusiasm and positivity throughout orientation
- OCs are considered Regent Representatives by assuming a student leadership role at Regent University
Requirements:
- Must have served as a Welcome Week leader for (1) year
- Must relate well with students, parents, faculty, and administrators
- Must be mature, responsible, and display a willingness to assist students in transitioning to college
- Must be currently enrolled as a student at Regent University in good academic, financial, and conduct standing
- Must present a professional demeanor that favorably represents the institution and department
- Required to wear university-approved attire
- Must demonstrate a desire to learn about the university, its regulations, people, programs, and community
- Must be involved in (2) student life or academic organizations/ programs
- Most importantly, must want to have fun!
