Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate bi-weekly reading/literacy program
- Collaborate with the supervisor to determine the optimal library reading and literacy activities for elementary-aged students
- Research appropriate reading materials for the elementary age group that reflect Regent University’s values
- Create and deliver interactive reading and literacy experiences with children
- Design and develop engaging educational content for elementary-aged children that aligns with Regent University's values and mission
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of instruction experience required
- Ability to handle, maintain attendance, and feedback records with accuracy and orderliness
- Ability to convey reading and literacy instructions in a pleasant, empathetic, and confident manner
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Ability to understand, remember, and carry out oral and written directions
- Ability to give attention to detail
