What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Software Engineer position at REGENT?
At REGENT , we’re on a mission to revolutionize regional transportation between coastal cities, by developing the seaglider , a first of its kind wing-in-ground-effect craft that operates a few meters off the water's surface and combines the speed of an airplane with the low operating costs of a boat. With existing battery technology, the Seaglider will travel routes up to 180 miles and up to 500 miles with next-gen batteries.
Backed by the same investors who support SpaceX, Anduril, and Boom Supersonic, our team is a group of passionate, forward-thinking individuals working together across fields like aviation, aerospace, and maritime engineering to turn zero-emission, high-speed travel into reality. It’s an exciting time to be part of this game-changing journey!
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Platform, Operations, & DevOps) to lead the design and development of software test, integration, and comprehensive data infrastructure platforms, critical to powering our seagliders. As part of our team, you’ll work on everything from data pipelines to automation solutions, and will directly contribute to the seamless integration of hardware and software for robust data collection, testing, and analysis.
This is no ordinary software job - this is your opportunity to be a part of a groundbreaking team that will transform coastal travel. If you're excited about shaping the future of transportation, solving complex challenges, and working in a dynamic, high-impact environment, we’d love to hear from you!
NOTE: To be considered, candidates MUST have experience working on software hardware integration and test.
What You'll Do:
As a Sr. Software Engineer (Platform, Operations, & DevOps) at REGENT, you’ll be at the heart of building the digital infrastructure that will enable the successful deployment of our seagliders. You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end data pipeline for test data, managing both on-premises and cloud-based development operations to support our engineering teams. This includes overseeing everything from data ingestion and storage to live streaming and access. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge hardware and software, ensuring we capture and analyze critical data for vehicle software testing.
Key Responsibilities
Equal Opportunity Employer
REGENT is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment. Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
