What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medication Technician position at Regents Point?
As a Certified Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting residents with their prescribed medications while maintaining accurate medical records under the supervision of a nurse supervisor. You'll ensure the safety and well-being of our residents by verifying their identity and meticulously documenting details such as the name of the drug, dosage, route, and administration time. Your responsibilities will also include presenting medications to residents, observing their ingestion, and administering medications following state guidelines.
In addition to medication management, you will assess the medical and emergency needs of residents within the Residential Living environment, monitoring their health conditions and providing essential support to enhance their overall health and safety.
Hourly Range : $23.74 to $24.51 depending on experience.
This is a part-time position including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational / technical training in nursing, specifically with the elderly, preferred
- Completion of up to 40 hours of training under a licensed professional, or other requirements as dictated by state regulations in residential senior living or skilled nursing facilities
- Minimum of 2 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Current CPR certification
- First Aid Certification
- Certification as a Medication Technician as per state regulations to assist or administer medications in a residential senior living community
