Job Description
Regents School of Austin, a Classical and Christian School, seeks a qualified Administrator to oversee and work with an experienced team to supervise and support a faculty of approximately 10 teachers.
Position Summary
The primary duty of this position will be to mentor and monitor Grammar teachers at Regents, and to provide vertical alignment oversight to the curriculum. The coordination of duties and responsibilities will be under the direction of the Head of Grammar School and in conjunction with the Grammar School Administrative Team.

Board members, administration, faculty, coaches and other instructional personnel of Regents School, whether full-time, part-time or volunteer, must subscribe to our Purpose, Mission, Philosophy, Objectives and Doctrinal Statement, evidenced by their signing a statement of agreement with Article II annually. As a supplement, the Regents Board of Directors has adopted two additional statements as clarifying language under Article II. The Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy - This was adopted in 2017 by the Board to be clear on our view of the inerrancy of Scripture. Nashville Statement: A Coalition for Biblical Sexuality - This was adopted by the Board in 2019 as clarifying language on our view of biblical sexuality.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Direct a review of curriculum guides, records, and documents in order to advance our record keeping in regard to annual Scope and Sequence.
- Works with Grammar School leadership team in evaluating and aligning curriculum.
- Meet with teachers on a regular basis and assist teachers with parent communication (including email, meetings, and conflict resolution as needed)
- Conduct formal observations of teachers in each semester.
- Maintain clear communications with teachers, parents as necessary, and the Grammar School Head
- Facilitate the rapid resolution of parent concerns regarding teachers.
- Work alongside grade-level Team Leaders in communication with parents.
- Establish uniform, clear and informative communication through teachers utilizing the web site as a resource.
- Meet weekly with the Head of Grammar School.
- Coordinate mentorship with Team Leaders by attending Team meetings, and keeping the Team Leaders apprised of the new teachers progress.
SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master' degree preferred.
- At least seven years of experience, preferablyin a classical and Christian environment.
- Mastery of pedagogical skills in the Classical, Christian model.
- Lifestyle and convictions clearly demonstrate a Christian worldview.
- Competency in evaluating the age appropriateness for all curriculums in accordance with the stages of child development.
- Ability to connect all curriculum decisions to the unique community.
- Outstanding ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Confidence to meet the challenges in an educational environment.
- Ability to direct novice teachers through challenges.
- Ability to strengthen the goals of the school and implement the policies.
- Education and/or experience in Reading and/or Math Instruction preferred.
- Anticipate any problems a teacher may encounter and prepare them for those experiences so as to minimize mistakes and impact.
- Behave with courtesy and kindness to everyone under all circumstances.
- Communicate accurately and clearly with teachers, parents, and administrators.
- Know the good stories of the school, and promote a healthy culture.
