Job Description
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Regents School of Austin is a K-12 classical Christian school with 1,000 students located on an 82-acre campus in Austin, TX. Regents equips students for life, college and beyond, using the time-tested tools of a classical model taught through the lens of a Christian worldview. Our students are surrounded by a supportive community with talented, caring, and godly men and women on our faculty and staff and engaged, involved parents.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Advancement (DoA), the Director of Community (DoC) keeps one foot planted in internal relationships with parents and the other foot in external relationships connecting and cultivating relationships with alumni, alumni parents, and grandparents.
The Director of Community (DoC) is chiefly concerned with answering questions about how Regents School of Austin fosters community among its parents from first visit to last graduation. Then, as the student and families' roles change upon graduation, how we keep alumni and alumni families engaged in an enduring relationship with Regents.
Duties And Responsibilities
Director of Community roles and responsibilities are divided into two broad categories.
Internal relations (K-12 parents, Seniors, faculty)
Administrative Responsibilities
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Position will be evaluated annually by the Director of Advancement for the proper conduct of assigned duties and responsibilities.

Board members, administration, faculty, coaches and other instructional personnel of Regents School, whether full-time, part-time or volunteer, must subscribe to our Purpose, Mission, Philosophy, Objectives and Doctrinal Statement, evidenced by their signing a statement of agreement with Article II annually. As a supplement, the Regents Board of Directors has adopted two additional statements as clarifying language under Article II. The Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy - This was adopted in 2017 by the Board to be clear on our view of the inerrancy of Scripture. Nashville Statement: A Coalition for Biblical Sexuality - This was adopted by the Board in 2019 as clarifying language on our view of biblical sexuality.

Internal relations (K-12 parents, Seniors, faculty)
- Serves as liaison and main point of contact between administration and Regents Parent Council, Moms for Moms Chair and Class Shepherds
- Leads the planning and execution of the four All School Chapels annually
- Preps Seniors to transition to alumni status and parents who will transition to alumni family status
- RAN
- Gives leadership to the RAN Executive Committee (volunteer alumni).
- Manages the RAN social media account
- Coordinates Homecoming Alumni BBQ
- Involves Alumni and Alumni Families in FHF, Regents Cup, and other gathering events
- Alumni Parents
- Grandparents
Administrative Responsibilities
- Works with the Director of Advancement on Speaker Series.
- Attends all meetings as directed by the Director of Advancement.
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Advancement.
- Makes presentations to the school community as appropriate.
- Consults with parents / members of the community as appropriate.
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree required
- 5 Years of work in classical and/or education
- Outstanding ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Established relationships and experience
- Receive all employees with respect and kindness.
- Be ready at all times to promote the Regents mission.
- Keep all employee information confidential.
