As a Lead Educator you will create adventures daily for our students, by working closely with the Director and our Curriculum Team.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Create a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Discuss assigned duties with the Director in order to coordinate instructional efforts
- Be involved in monitoring, recording student progress and development
- Prepare lesson materials, bulletin board displays, exhibits, equipment, and demonstrations
- Learn the technology required to document the experiences of children and support the documentation of student/classroom experiences.
- Collaborate with other educators to share new ideas, approaches and professional knowledge
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children (PSHE integration)
- A willingness to learn and have a sharp and progressive vision of interdisciplinary learning and of teaching
- Act professionally at all times, setting a good example for children
- Use all learning resources effectively and create new ones
- Organize and participate in parent meetings
- Organize and participate in school meetings, events, and trips
- Any other duties assigned by the company
- Plan, prepare and oversee lesson plans in line with the Reggio Philosophy
- Communicate effectively with the children and their families
- Share your love of learning with the children
- Assists in other capacities that the Director or designee may deem necessary
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in ECE or related field with at least 12 ECE credits is required to be a Lead Teacher OR 60 hours of college level coursework with at least 12 credit hours in ECE
- Bachelor's Degree in ECE or related field is preferred with at least 12 credit hours in ECE
- The ability to meet State / District, federal, and accreditation requirements for education and experience
- At least 2 years of experience working in a Licensed Childcare Facility is preferred
- Experience working in a Reggio Emilia inspired school is preferred
- Highly Professional and Dependable
- Flexibility to work the hours and schedule to meet the needs of the School
- Any additional information requested by the Director or designee that may deem necessary
- Valid CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain prior to beginning employment at RTH
