Center Coordinator of Education - Job Description
(approximately 25 hours per week during the academic year)

As the local educational leader, the center coordinator of education ensures that the center is maintaining the core principles and mission of Regina Caeli. The Center Coordinator of Education is responsible for maintaining academic standards as set forth by our curriculum department, fostering spiritual growth in the community, and ensuring that community and accreditation standards are upheld. The Center Coordinator of Education will supervise staff, maintain a safe, learning environment according to our policies and expectations, and work to advance our mission through admissions efforts, student formation, community evangelization, and mentoring opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities
Academic and Center Excellence
- Collaborate with the Center Coordinator of Operations on tasks, events, policies, and expectations to run the center effectively
- Coordinate with the Center Coordinator of Operations the responsibilities for opening and closing each center day
- Make all necessary preparations for a new academic year
- Support tutors in successful implementation of classroom instruction, student formation, use of RCA lesson plans, and classroom management
- Provide tutors and parents resources and support on classical methodology, in collaboration with RCA's classical education specialist.
- Meet with parents and tutors as needed to formulate educational or disciplinary plans
- Teach 1 upper school course or lower school core subjects, and possess a willingness to substitute if needed
Parent Communication and Community Engagement
- Send out weekly announcements to families
- Lead morning assembly/afternoon dismissal and provide any pertinent announcements
- Cultivate the spiritual foundation of the community by coordinating all spiritual formation events, including parents nights of formation, for the Center
Student Formation
- Coordinate 7th - 12th grade retreat and provide Upper School formation talks
- Organize spiritual formation opportunities, such as confession, feast day celebrations, and liturgical season observances
- Oversee student uniform adherence and classroom management and determine proper course of action for students referred to the office
Admissions and Family Interviews
- Receive admissions calls, track admissions, and respond to applications
- Lead local touring events to prospective parents and students
- Administer assessments and discuss placement recommendations with parents
- Accept new students upon review of placement tests and family/student interview
- Oversee and provide additional support to transfer students
Hiring and Staff Management
- Collaborate with RM and HR to interview and hire staff members
- Supervise and support tutors through check-ins and semester observations
- Finalize all staff schedules
- Attend and help lead staff training
- Oversee that all tutors' grade books are up-to-date and FACTS SIS is accurate
- Manage substitutions and staffing issues
Required Skills
- Practicing Catholic with a commitment to RCA's mission
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Background in classical education, ministry, administration, and/or home education highly preferred
- Commitment to form young men and women in accordance with our Catholic faith to build a vibrant and positive local community culture
- Ability to inspire the community and manage professional relationships
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to communicate, inspire, and motivate tutors, staff, and students
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to communicate, prioritize, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
- Competency in coordinating events, public speaking, and collaborating with others
- Previous experience and/or willingness to learn Google Workspace, Student Information Systems, and school-home communication platforms
Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and have a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines are provided. Tutors are trained to provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal applicant will have strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
